Our combi keeps losing hot water pressure. Is it the boiler?
In very hard water areas, the usual culprit is scale inside the combi's plate heat exchanger or a blocked filter, which reduces hot water flow while heating still works. Repairs inside the boiler are a job for a heating engineer; we can check the water side, the filters, valves and pipework, and tell you which it is.
My flat above a High Street shop has a sink that keeps blocking. Why?
Flats over shops often have long waste pipes with very little fall to reach the stack, sometimes running through the shop's ceiling. Food and fat settle in them. Clearing the run fixes the blockage; if it keeps returning, the pipe needs re-routing or a better fall.
How do I reduce limescale in Watford?
