Tap repair & replacement in London: what the price includes
- Repairs first. Washers, ceramic cartridges, O-rings and re-seating, if the tap is worth saving we save it.
- Supply and fit or fit-only. Bring your own tap or choose from what the van carries; either way it’s fitted with new flexis and full-bore isolation valves.
- Low pressure sorted. Mixer taps that dribble usually mean blocked filters or wrong tap for the system, we diagnose rather than blame the tap.

- Isolation valves fitted while we are there. Most older installations have no isolator on the tap tails, which means the next repair starts with draining the system. We fit them as standard on any tap change, it costs very little now and turns every future job into a ten-minute one.
Local conditions we work around
Hard water is why so many London taps fail early, and why the honest answer is often a cartridge rather than a tap. Ceramic cartridges scale up and stiffen, mixers dribble because the filters have furred rather than because the tap is worn out, and a brand-new tap fitted to the same water will do the same thing unless the isolation and filters are sorted at the same time. We fit full-bore isolating valves as standard so the next service is a ten-minute job, not a drain-down.

Why does my new tap dribble?
Usually a high-pressure tap on a low-pressure (gravity) system. Tap flow ratings matter more than looks, the survey question we ask before you buy.
Do you fit customer-supplied taps?
Happily.
My tap drips, repair or replace?
A traditional tap with rubber washers is worth repairing. A modern quarter-turn ceramic-cartridge tap usually is not, because the cartridge is often unavailable and costs close to a new tap. We tell you which one you have before quoting.
Why is my new mixer tap weak on hot?
Almost always mixing pressures. A gravity-fed hot supply and a mains cold arrive at very different pressures, so a mixer designed for balanced supplies will not work well. The fix is either a low-pressure tap or a pump, and it needs deciding before you buy the tap.
Can you fit a tap I bought myself?
Yes, and plenty of customers do. We will say honestly if the one you have chosen is not suited to your water system before we fit it rather than after, because that is the failure we get called back to.
