Emergency plumbing is a trade where a stranger comes into your house at 2am while you are stressed and the floor is wet. Knowing who that will be, and that they are employed rather than subcontracted for the night, is most of what makes it bearable.

Employed, not brokered

Our engineers are on our payroll and on rostered shifts. That matters more than it sounds: a large share of "emergency plumbers" online are lead brokers who sell your call to whoever bids for it, which is why the person who arrives sometimes has no idea what you were quoted. Nobody here is meeting you for the first time on your doorstep.

What every engineer carries

Gas Safe photo ID with their own licence number, a stocked van covering the common failures for copper, plastic and lead, and the authority to agree the fixed price with you directly. They do not have to ring an office to tell you what it will cost.

How we hire

Time-served, with the certificates checked at interview and verified against the register, not taken from a CV. New engineers work alongside an experienced one before they run their own callouts, because the difference between competence and confidence is not visible on paper and is very visible at 3am.

Uniform, ID and shoe covers

Small things, consistently done. Uniformed and badged, shoe covers on, work areas left clean and photographed. It is not a differentiator anyone should have to advertise, and the fact that it reads as one says a good deal about the trade.

If something goes wrong

Ring the same number. Our workmanship guarantee runs twelve months and a return visit under it costs nothing. We would far rather come back and fix it than have you write about it, and that is a self-interested position as much as a principled one.
