Emergency Plumber London Ltd started in 2019 doing one thing: turning up at 3am when nobody else would, and charging what we said we would on the phone.
That's still the core of it. The company has grown, two cities, 4+ engineers, a planned-work side for bathrooms, boilers and certificates, but the operating rules haven't moved: no call-out fee, no night surcharge, a fixed price in writing before work starts, and a 12-month guarantee on the workmanship.
Two cities, one standard
We work from two offices: 6 Crescent Rd, London N22 7RS for London, and 7 Trafford Moss Rd, Trafford Park, Stretford M17 1SQ for Greater Manchester. Every published arrival time on this site is a rolling 30-day average from our own job logs, where we're slow, the number says so, because a true 60 minutes beats a fictional 30 every time someone is standing in water.
The paperwork, in the open
Registered in England & Wales, Company No. 12326959. Gas Safe Register No. 932798, verify it on the official register in thirty seconds. Public liability insurance held; certificates available on request without fuss.
Emergency Plumber London Ltd is a Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating business working across London and Greater Manchester. Company number 12326959, Gas Safe registration 932798, both checkable, and we would rather you checked than took our word.
Why we publish prices
Because the fear at 2am is not the water, it is the bill. Every emergency-plumber horror story runs on the same mechanism: no price agreed, work started, pressure applied at the worst possible moment. Publishing the rate card and putting a fixed figure in writing before the toolbox opens removes that mechanism entirely. It costs us some margin on easy jobs and it is worth it.
One rate, whatever the hour
£110 for the first hour and £45 per additional half hour, at any hour of any day including bank holidays, with no call-out fee. Night premiums are a pricing decision firms make, not a cost they actually bear, the engineer is on shift either way. We decided not to make it.
Two cities, two operations
London and Greater Manchester each have their own depot, engineers and rostered shifts. We publish separate average arrival times per area because they genuinely differ, and a single sitewide number would be a marketing figure rather than a measurement.
Employed engineers, not a lead broker
A large proportion of emergency plumbing websites are lead generators that sell your call on to whoever will take it. Ours are employed, rostered and known to us. It is the reason we can guarantee the workmanship for twelve months and the reason the price you are quoted is the price the person on your doorstep honours.
What we will tell you not to do
That a job can wait until morning and cost you less. That the drain fault is on the water company's length and not yours to pay for. That a softener makes no sense in Manchester. That a boiler is worth repairing rather than replacing. None of that is generosity, a business that only exists on one emergency per customer is a business with no repeat work.
Water where it
shouldn't be? Call.
A person answers, not a menu. You'll have an arrival time and a price range before you hang up.
