Rodding cleared it before, why jet now?
Because it's back. Rodding pierces a blockage; jetting removes what it was made of. For grease and scale the hole closes within weeks, the third callout costs more than one jet.
Is jetting safe for old clay pipes?
At the right pressure with the right head, yes, and far kinder than mechanical force. Where a run is known-fragile we camera-check first rather than guessing.
What does jetting cost?
There is no call-out charge. It is £110 for the first hour, then £45 for each additional half hour, plus the cost of parts, and the same at any hour of the day or night.
Can jetting damage my drains?
Not at appropriate pressure in sound pipework. It can break up a run that is already failing, but a pipe that a jet destroys was days from collapsing anyway, and finding that out with a camera in the hole is better than finding out in a flood.
How long will it stay clear?
If the cause was fat or silt and nothing changes, a year or two. If it was root intrusion, the roots return and the honest answer is a repair or a lining rather than a jetting subscription. We tell you which one yours is.
Is it messy?
Contained. Work happens at the inspection chamber with mats down, and everything is flushed to the sewer rather than across the garden. On a shared run in a terrace we agree access with the neighbour before starting rather than during.
