Do you do whole terraces or blocks?

Is it really a plumbing job?
It is a rainwater job, and rainwater that misses the gutter ends up in the wall, then inside. We treat guttering as the top of the drainage system, which is why we clear the downpipe and the gully at the bottom on the same visit rather than stopping at the roofline.
Are gutter guards worth fitting?
Under heavy tree cover, yes, they turn an annual job into a three-yearly one. Under open sky they mostly trap moss and make the eventual clean harder. It depends entirely on what is above your roof.
My gutter leaks at a joint.
A perished union seal or a bracket that has dropped so water pools at the joint rather than running past it. Both are inexpensive to correct while the access equipment is already there, which is why we photograph and quote on the same visit.
Is London drainage different?
Much of it is Victorian, and a great deal of it is combined, foul and surface water in the same pipe.
