Since our loft conversion the downstairs toilet gurgles. Why?
When a new bathroom joins the soil stack, air in the pipe can be pulled through the lower traps as water rushes past, which is the gurgle you hear. It can also mean the stack is partly blocked lower down. If the toilet also drains slowly, have the drain checked; if not, the stack may need better ventilation.
Our house is shared by several tenants and the hot water runs out. Who should fix it?
