Our Temple Hill house has a combi fitted to the old pipes. Why is the shower so weak?
When a combi replaces a tank and cylinder, it sometimes keeps the original narrow pipework, which limits flow at the far end of the house. Scale in the combi and the shower valve makes it worse. Checking the stopcock is fully open and the pipe sizes usually shows the restriction.
Is there lead in our Victorian terrace's supply pipe?
